## Local Storm Context

On March 14, 2024, an EF3 tornado with estimated peak winds of 155 mph tracked 32 miles from roughly three miles north of Botkins in Auglaize County to roughly three miles west-southwest of West Mansfield in Logan County. The National Weather Service recorded a maximum path width of 1,000 yards, three deaths and 27 injuries, with severe damage through Lakeview, Orchard Island and the Indian Lake area. A second tornado the same evening, rated EF2 with 125 mph winds, tracked 19.7 miles from just south-east of West Mansfield in Union County into Delaware County.

Storm damage from that night is still being found undocumented on roofs across Logan, Auglaize and Union counties, often on homes where a small claim was settled at the time and the full scope was never written up.
