Quick Gut Check
Not sure if you should file?
The hesitation is normal. Here's a quick gut check — if any of these sound familiar, a free inspection is worth your 45 minutes.
Recent storm + roof under 20 years old
Hail, high winds, or a big spring storm in your area? Even damage you can't see from the ground often qualifies. Don't wait — most carriers have a one-year filing window.
Visible warning signs
Missing shingles, dented gutters or flashing, granules collecting in your downspouts, ceiling stains inside the house — any one of these is enough to call us out.
You're leaking and don't know why
Skip the guesswork. We climb the roof, find the source, and tell you whether it's a storm-related claim or a repair we can quote you directly.

Don't have all of it?
That's completely fine.
Submit what you've got and we'll fill in the rest on the call. Most people we talk to are still figuring out what they're dealing with — that's exactly why we do free inspections.
Start my free inspectionWe handle appeals — and we win them.
If another roofer's claim came back denied or undervalued, don't give up. We've seen every denial tactic insurance companies use, and most "denials" are documentation problems that can be fixed with a proper inspection and re-submission.
Last summer, a local business owner came to us after another roofing company's claim was denied. We re-documented the damage, met with her carrier, and got the roof fully approved — saving her over $70,000 on an upgraded commercial roofing system.
Common questions about roof insurance claims
How long does a roof insurance claim take in Ohio?
Most residential claims close within 2–4 weeks from the initial inspection to final installation, depending on how quickly your carrier responds. Commercial claims can run 4–8 weeks because of the larger scope.
Do I pay anything besides my deductible?
In most approved claims, no — your deductible is your only out-of-pocket cost. If you want upgrades beyond what your insurance covers (a premium shingle line, for example), we'll quote that separately so you know exactly what you're paying for.
What if my adjuster undervalues the damage?
We attend the adjuster meeting in person and advocate for full scope. If we believe the initial valuation misses real damage, we can request a re-inspection with photo documentation and industry guidelines to back us up.
What if my claim was already denied?
Don't give up. We re-inspect, document the damage to insurance standards, and help you appeal. We've seen claims approved on appeal that another roofer walked away from — including a recent commercial claim that recovered over $70,000.
Will filing a claim raise my insurance premium?
Filing a single weather-related claim usually does not raise your premium — weather damage is considered "act of God" and is treated differently than at-fault claims. Multiple claims in a short window can affect rates. We're happy to talk through your specific situation on the inspection.
Are you a public adjuster?
No. We're a licensed Ohio roofing contractor who works with your adjuster, not against them. We document damage, provide industry-standard scope, and install the roof. We can't legally negotiate your claim payout — but we can make sure the damage is documented so well that there's nothing to negotiate.
