Why we're doing this.
We opened Peak One a year ago, and we didn't know how it would go.
Logan County answered that. People here gave a brand-new company a shot — let us up on their roofs, told their neighbors about us, and made year one better than we had any right to expect.
So this fall we're putting a roof on somebody's house. It isn't a promotion. It's a thank-you.
We plan to be here a long time. Every year this business grows, we want the town to get something out of it. This is the first one.

You're reading a roofing company offering to give away a roof. Fair enough. Here's exactly how it works.

Peak One pays for it. Not insurance, not the family.

No claim gets filed. Nobody's rates go up.

The family owes nothing and signs nothing to be nominated.

They don't have to be a customer, and they won't be asked to become one.

Up to $10,000 covers a complete tear-off and replacement on most homes around here. If a house needs more than that, we say so up front and in writing, before anyone starts work.

Kyle and Stephan read them personally, then pick three families with help from someone outside the company. We climb all three roofs.

Up to $10,000, paid by Peak One
Not included: structural repair, code upgrades, specialty materials, gutters and siding. If we find something above the cap when we inspect, we tell you before we start, in writing. Nobody gets a surprise bill.
Who picks.
Kyle Davis and Stephan Shurelds own Peak One, and they read every nomination themselves. To pick the final three, they're joined by a third judge from outside the company. After that, it's up to the community.

Does it cost anything?
No. Not to nominate, and not for the family who's chosen. Peak One is paying for the roof.
Does the family need to file an insurance claim?
No. This has nothing to do with insurance, and no claim will be filed on the roof we give away.
Do they have to be a Peak One customer?
No, and they won't be asked to become one.
What if their roof needs more than $10,000 of work?
We'll tell them exactly what we find and what it would cost, in writing, before anything starts. No surprises.
Can I nominate more than one person?
Yes. One form each.
Can I nominate myself?
Yes. Put your own name in the first field.
Who's eligible?
Homeowners in Bellefontaine, Marysville, Sidney, Upper Sandusky, Wapakoneta, and across Logan, Union, Shelby, Wyandot and Auglaize counties.
Will you contact the person I nominate?
Yes, privately, before anything about them is posted publicly. If they'd rather not take part, that's the end of it.
When will I know?
Three families are announced October 16. Voting runs October 16 to 22. The winner is announced October 23.
