Materials & Systems

GAF Timberline HDZ shingles

Class A fire rating, LayerLock for high-wind performance, lifetime limited warranty when installed as a system.

GAF ice & water shield

Self-sealing membrane along eaves and valleys to prevent ice-dam leaks during Central Ohio winters.

Synthetic underlayment

Tear-resistant, lays flatter than felt, and won't wick moisture into the deck.

Ridge vent + intake balance

We rebuild the attic ventilation when claim scope allows — most pre-claim roofs are under-vented.

Warranty

Roofs installed under an approved storm claim qualify for the GAF System Plus warranty (50-year material, non-prorated for the first 10) when paired with our certified workmanship coverage. Golden Pledge upgrades are available on request.

Pricing

Most approved residential storm claims are paid by your insurance carrier — your out-of-pocket is typically only your deductible. Upgrades (impact-rated shingles, ventilation, gutters) are quoted separately.

What affects your price

  • Carrier-approved scope vs. line-item supplements
  • Roof pitch, layers, and decking condition
  • Any pre-claim deferred maintenance
  • Upgrades chosen outside the claim scope

Frequently Asked

Do I have to use my insurance company's preferred contractor?+
No. Ohio law gives you the right to choose any licensed contractor for the work, regardless of who your insurer suggests.
What if my claim is denied?+
We re-inspect with you at no charge. If we believe damage was missed, we can request a re-inspection or supplement on your behalf. If the denial is correct, we'll tell you straight.
How long does the whole process take?+
From first inspection to final install, most approved residential claims wrap in 4–8 weeks depending on adjuster scheduling and material lead times.

“Peak One handled our entire insurance claim from start to finish. Their team showed up the next day after the storm and had us fully restored within two weeks.”
